Your account and data
Delete a Wordfold account
You can request deletion even if you have uninstalled the app.
Request deletion without the app
Email support@wordfold.app with the subject “Wordfold account deletion”. Send the request from the email address registered to your Wordfold account, and include only that address. Do not send your password or vocabulary.
We will verify that you own the account before deleting it and confirm when the request is complete. If you cannot access the registered address, email us with the account address so we can discuss another way to verify ownership.
Delete inside the app
- Open Wordfold Settings.
- Open Account and sync.
- Select Delete cloud account and confirm.
If you want to keep a current local vocabulary copy on that device, use this option before uninstalling. An email request cannot create a new copy on your device.
What is deleted
Deleting your cloud account removes your sign-in, synchronized collections, words and learning events, private cloud pronunciation files and records, and account-linked AI requests, suggestions and credit history. Synchronization stops. In-app deletion leaves a local vocabulary copy on the device used for deletion.
What may remain
- Local data on your other devices is not remotely erased.
- Your Google Play lifetime purchase is not deleted. Google Play and RevenueCat may retain purchase records for transaction, fraud-prevention, tax or legal reasons.
- An unlinked, one-way purchase fingerprint remains to prevent the same purchase from repeatedly claiming bonus AI credits.
- Feedback reports and notification emails are separate from your cloud account and are not automatically removed. To request deletion of submitted feedback and its email copy, contact support@wordfold.app with the report ID or enough details to locate it.
See the privacy policy’s retention and deletion section for more detail.
